Decorated U.S. Marine Was Successful Entrepreneur

Cleron Franklin Wells, 69, of Chattanooga, passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2017.

After graduating High School Mr. Wells entered the United States Marine Corps and became a decorated soldier and honorably discharged as an E-5.  Following his military career, Mr. Wells started up Floor Makers, Inc. which and was a successful entrepreneur for years leading to other business ventures in the future.  He also served the city of Chattanooga working for Hamilton County for many years and received the Chattanooga Beautification Award for his efforts. 

Mr. Wells was preceded in death by his parents, Cleron and Viola Wells, siblings, Oliver and Curtis Wells.

Survivors include children, Todd Wells (Tiffiny) and Tonya Wells, sisters, Nancy Austin, Jessie Heard (Charles), Mary Morris and Flora Wallin and several nieces and nephews. 

A graveside service to celebrate the life of Mr. Wells will be Thursday at 11 a.m. from the Chattanooga National Cemetery with Military rites provided by the United States Marine Corp.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 28, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Arrangements are by W. L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Homes, Fort Oglethorpe.
