Ola Faye Bean
Ola Faye Bean, 82, of Dayton, formerly of Grandview, died on Sunday evening at Life Care of Rhea County.
She was born in Rockwood on Oct. 2, 1934, to the late Claude and Margaret (Schilling) Simpson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Alton Bean.
Faye grew up in Grandview, moved to Altanta, when she married her husband in 1957, and later returned to Grandview in 1993. She was a member of Christian Fellowship in Grandview, Tn., and charter member of Faith Baptist Church in Ellenwood, Ga. She retired from working as a food service manager at Dekalb County Schools and was a member of the Spring City Senior Lighthouse Center.
Faye is survived by her sons, Daniel (Sandi) Bean of Bottineau, ND, Randall (Norma) Bean of McCaysville, Ga, daughter, Margaret (Gary) Dupree of Dayton, brother Donald (Leila) Simpson of Grandview, and sister, Carolyn Phelps of Snellville, Ga. She is also survived by her seven grandsons, one step-granddaughter, and five great grandchildren.
A funeral service for Faye will be held on Tuesday, at 7 p.m. in the funeral home Chapel with Reverend Stephen Zimmerman officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in the Fairview Memorial Gardens in Stockbridge, Ga.
