Raymond Smith
Raymond Leon Smith, 68, of Rock Spring, passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2017.
He was born on Jan. 1, 1949, in Menlo, Ga., to the late John Smith and Robertine Martin Smith.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Shelby Smith; and brothers, James Smith and John Smith, Jr.
He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Kathy Smith; daughters, Shelia (Kevin) Wooton of Texas, Kimberly Carson of Chickamauga and Lori Smith of Rock Spring; sons, Ray (Stacy) Smith, Jr. of Rock Spring, Chris Smith of LaFayette, and Paul (Candy) Smith of Ringgold; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters, Francis Parker, Martha Millican, Peggy (Jerry) Farner, Charlotte (Wendell) Hamilton, and Carol (James) Dodson all of LaFayette; brothers, Emmett (Patsy) Smith of Villanow and Mark Smith of LaFayette; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday, May 24, at 7 p.m. in the Wilbanks Memorial Chapel with Pastor Charles Weaver and Patrick Morgan officiating.
Interment will be in LaFayette City Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Ken Floyd, Christian Floyd, James Dodson, Wendell Hamilton, Brian Hamilton, and Alex Morgan.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 4 p.m. until time of service.
Arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.
