Raymond Payne Sr, 80, of Ringgold, Georgia, died Saturday, April 29, 2017.
Raymond loved music, baseball, fishing, and the Chicago Cubs.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Thomas and Della Mae Sweatt Payne; sister, Myrtle Lee Whaley; brothers, Oliver, Carl, J. Brown and Thomas Harmon Payne.
Survivors include his wife Wilma McAllister Payne; daughters, Pam (Randy) Sims, Dunlap, Gail (Terry) Denney, Sue Trujillo, both of Pikeville and Diane Ables, Chattanooga; son, Ray (Deborah) Payne, Pikeville; sister, Margaret Thurman, Chattanooga; brother, John W. Payne, Hermitage; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, May 2, at Cordell Cemetery in Dunlap, TN.
There will be no visitation.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in his honor to Bledsoe Cancer Care Team, 611 Big Springs Gap Road, Pikeville, TN. 37367.
