Doris Johnson Tuggle, 87, of Soddy Daisy, passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2017.

Doris was born in Chattanooga and was a graduate of Red Bank High School.  She retired from Buster Brown Apparel. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Zack and Minnie Johnson and a brother, Wilburn Lloyd Johnson.

Doris is survived by her children, William James “Jimmy” Tuggle, Jill (Roy) Picklesimer, Jean Tuggle and Jeff Tuggle; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 28, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.

Graveside services for Doris will follow at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

The family would like to thank the staff and nurses at Soddy Daisy Healthcare for their love, care and compassion given to Doris in the recent years.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at 7625 Hamilton Park Drive, Suite 22, Chattanooga, TN 37421, or at www.alz.org, or to make a contribution or volunteer at a local hospice group. 

Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
