Nora Lee Hampton, 65, passed away on February 20, 2017, in a local hospital.

She was a certified nurse assistant. She was an active member of United Tabernacle Church of God in Christ and also a licensed evangelist missionary.

Survivors include her adoptive daughter, Kimberly Sheppard; brothers, Cecil Powe, Larry (Andrea) Powe, Silas, AL; Ronnie (Iris) Powe, Sr., Ray (Elaine) Powe, Chattanooga; sisters, Lula Rogers, Gilbertown, AL; Jula (James) Wigham, Quitman MS; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 4, at noon at United Tabernacle COGIC with Dr. Paul Ruffin as eulogist. Interment will be in Tyner Cemetery.

The body will lie in state after noon on Friday, March 3, and family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 423 622-9995.
