Morgan, Ola Shadwick

Ola Shadwick Morgan,89, died at The Villages Hospice House, Florida, on February 15, 2017.

Although she had lived in Leesburg, Fl., since 2005, Soddy Daisy was always home. She was the youngest child of the late John Phelps and Ida Ricketts Shadwick.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Newell, and grandson, Zachary Morgan; her siblings and their spouses: Roy (Margaret) Shadwick, Herman (Ruby) Shadwick, Marie (George) Upton, Alpha (Roland) Koepsell, Alma (Dallas Sr.) Metz, as well as Raymond and Lela who died in childhood.

She was a long time member of Soddy Community Chapel. Most important to her were faith, family, and friends. She retired from Hamilton County Accounts and Budgets office in 1988. She spent most of the next years devoted to helping her family.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Denver Isaacs, her son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Barbara Morgan; granddaughters, Kimberly and husband Robert Lea,and Kate Morgan; grandson, Dylan Morgan; great grandchildren, Mason and Lauren Lea; step grandchildren, Joy (Bert) Coker, Denver Jr. (Sylvia) Isaacs, and Glenn (Becky) Isaacs; special niece and nephews Jane and Bobby White and Don Upton; wonderful friends, Lucille Moses, Janie Hughes, and Marilyn Meserole.

The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 20, at the Williamson & Sons Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 21, at Hamilton Memorial Gardens in Hixson.
