Engaging Chattanooga with A.R.T. -  Awareness, Reaching, and Teaching will host a Cabaret at Barking Legs Theatre on Thursday.  It will be an evening of New York style jazz from 7-9 p.m. Proceeds benefit Art 120 and The Howard School.  Tickets are $20 in advance and are available at www.art120.org/cabaret

Here is the jazz lineup and their reviews:

Clare Donohue
The sultry sounds of Clare Donohue are influenced from two of the greatest, Billie Holiday and Doris Day. Growing up in Brooklyn, New York, Clare was in the studio at 19 and playing “acoustic soul” in the village and Manhattan's upper west side. Clare has been a featured vocalist since moving to the south, currently playing gigs all around the southern states. Clare is a part of the rising jazz scene in Chattanooga. 

Jay Vernalli
A regular on Nashville's Music Row, Jay has been working in the music industry for decades. Jay is a classically trained piano player that has worked with many of the Country music greats along with some of pop and blues music legends. Jay is JEWEL's new music director and will be taking off on a world tour with her after Thanksgiving. 

RT Bolden
RT Bolden was born in Decauter, Al. and at the age of 15 he was doing gigs in lieu of his music teacher at The Country Club (on trumpet). In 1964 he played in both the U.S. Army Band and U.S. Air Force Band. He regularly played with legends Chet Baker, Wes Montgomery and Freddy Hubbard. RT keeps the heart of Jazz going with local musicans spreading his talents on the saxophone at 81 years of age. He is one of the best talents in Chattanooga, currently film makers are making a documentary on his fascinating life. 

James Edward Crumble
An extraordinary drummer playing his way through Chattanooga's local Jazz scene. Originally from Atlantic City, New Jersey he studied music at Covenant College on Lookout Mountain. James is retired from a lifetime working in prison reform. His love for people and music make him a local favorite. 

Stephen Powers
Resident guitar wizard and Chattanooga native Stephen Powers graduated from the University of New Orleans with a degree in jazz studies. After playing for years in New Orleans he has returned to his home town where he has been staying busy both as a private music instructor and as a performing artist. 

Dave Schwab
One of the most sought after bassists in Chattanooga and forging the rise of the jazz scene in the city. Dave obtained dual degrees at Vanderbilt University in engineering and science while playing jazz on the side. Dave later received a Master's degree in Jazz Studies from University of New Orleans where he played with Wessell “Warmdaddy” Anderson. Currently Dave is a professor and doctoral student at University of Tennessee in Chattanooga. 

Joshua Moore
Alabama native soul musician Joshua Moore born to spread love, peace and unity through his music. He was a natural at a young age when he received his first guitar and his appreciation for Sam Cook's music. Joshua has been playing his live shows around the U.S. promoting his new single “Peace” and his inspirational message where you have a great time and forget your worries.
