James Clark
James “Jim” Earl Clark, 84, of Hixson, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 17, 2017.
Earl was born in Spring City, Tn., to the late Bertha and Van Clark. He graduated from Spring City High School where he was a star football player and received football scholarships offers from Auburn and the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. Jim served our country in the Army during the Korean War. Earl worked for TVA as an electrician for 10 years then owned and operated a successful business, the Time Saver Market in Dayton, Tn., for 25 years. He loved his Tennessee football, enjoyed raising Black Angus cattle on his farm, spending the weekends at his lake home and loved being with his family and friends. Jim was of the Baptist faith.
He was the last of 10 siblings of the Clark family.
Jim is survived by Barbara; Stacie (Steven) Boyd and Molly Boyd; and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Dustee Pucillo for being a wonderful care giver for the past three years and Hearth Hospice for the care and love given to Jim.
The family will receive friends from 1-2:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 19, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
A celebration of Jim’s life will follow at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday at the North Chapel. Burial will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 7625 Hamilton Park Drive, Suite 22, Chattanooga, Tn. 37421.
