Nelda Ann Kennedy, 64, of Trenton, Georgia, died on Monday, January 9, 2017 surrounded by family, after a four year battle with breast cancer.
She was born January 14, 1952. She was very brave during her fight and worried more about those around more than her than herself. She talked with her sisters everyday and enjoyed outings with them to Wal-Mart. She enjoyed time with her family and grandchildren near the end of her struggle.
Nelda appreciated her nephew David Chancy and sister Barbara Jones very much. They were a great help her attend doctor’s appointments and treatments. She will be remembered for her sense of humor that took her years to find. She will be missed.
She was preceded in death by parents David and Beatrice Holland, Aunt Rose Etta Holland and Ether Hubble; siblings Donna Chapman, Michael and Anita Holland; niece Anita Chapman; nephew Jess Chancy; uncle Charles DeFoy; children Rhonda Grant and Eddie Tinker; and grandson Charlie Grant.
She was survived by her husband Charles Kennedy; children Lydia Holland, Edward Holland, Jeannie Kennedy and Elizabeth Vandergriff; grandchildren Michael, Tyler, Meagan, T.J. Cassidy, Nicholas, Hilary, Tyler, Hannah, Kaylene, Madelyn, Alisha and Ashley; one great-grandchild Jasmine; siblings Barbara Jones, Karen Willis, David Holland and Aunt Virginia Young; and several nieces and nephews.
Private memorial will be held at a later time.
