Bicycle Ride Across Georgia’s US Bicycle Route 21 To Cover 150+ Miles From Chattanooga To Atlanta

The U.S. Bicycle Route System (USBRS) is a developing a network of officially-numbered interstate bicycle routes that connect America’s cities, suburbs, and rural areas.

Georgia recently joined the USBRS by designating a system of roads and trails as US Bike Route 21. In Conjunction with the Georgia DOT, The Atlanta Falcons, and Northside Hospital, BRAG is hosting the inaugural ride on this route Sept. 16-18.

Friday’s route from Finely Stadium in Chattanooga to Summerville covers 50.8 miles and asses through Chickamauga, Rock Spring and Lafayette. Saturday’s route covers 58.4 miles on the road to Rockmart and passes through Lyerly, Cave spring, and Cedartown. The final day of riding follows the silver comet trail through Rockmart and into Mableton ending at Silver Comet Cycling.

Each night features bands, entertainment, food trucks and more. Non-riders are encouraged to attend for the post ride festivities.
