Daniel Uballe Flores Sr., 88 of Soddy Daisy, died Wednesday, September 28, 2016.
He was born May 31, 1928 in Robstown, TX, to the late Alberto and Bartola (Uballe) Flores; and was also preceded in death by his wife Maria (Perez) Flores; his step-mother Maria Flores; his step-daughter Wendi Ellison, his son-in-law Roy Milligan, his sister, Esther Garza, and his grandson, Frankie Flores.
Daniel was raised in Texas, and lived in Nebraska for many years before moving to Tennessee in 1987. He was of the Baptist faith.
Daniel is survived by his wife, Catherine Ann Flores; his daughters Maria (Stephen) Holloway of Hixson and Marta Milligan of Lincoln, NE; his three sons, Daniel (Dolores) Flores Jr. of Albuquerque, NM, John (Jody) Flores of Lincoln, NE, and Oscar (Barbara) Flores of Albuquerque, NM; his step-daughter, Pam Blythe of Columbiana, AL; two sisters, Mary Ellena Culler of Houston, TX and Sara Arvizu of Robstown, TX; his brother, David (Lucy) Flores of Lincoln, NE; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A funeral service for Daniel will be held on Sunday, Oct. 2 at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Reverend John Fields officiating. He will be laid to rest in Rhea Memory Gardens.
The family is being cared for by the Vanderwall Funeral Home where they will receive friends Saturday from 2-6 p.m.
