The Tennessee Smokies scored a run in the 11th inning to defeat the Chattanooga Lookouts by a score of 7-6 before a nice crowd of 4,150.

Felix Jorge was back on the mound, but he was done long before the game was decided as the game went a couple of extra innings.

Jorge went the first five innings.

He gave up three runs on five hits, a walk and hit a batter. He struck out two. Omar Bencomo came on and gave up a run on two hits and a walk over his two innings. Zack Jones gave up one run on two hits and a hit batter in his inning. Jake Reed gave up a run on two hits in the ninth. Brandon Peterson worked a scoreless 10th inning, but he gave up one run in the 11th inning to take the loss.

Friday's ballgame started off well for the Lookouts. In the bottom of the inning a single by Travis Harrison and a walk by Stuart Turner put two men on for Edgar Corcino who launched his second home run of the year. The lead increased to four a couple batters later when Ryan Walker smacked a RBI single.

An inning later the Smokies began to pester the Lookouts, scoring one run in the third on a RBI single by Chesney Young. They cut the lead down to one in the fourth on a BJ Rademacher two-run home run.

Chattanooga made it 5-3 in the fifth on a bases loaded walk, but the team did not further capatlize on the opportunity. Tennessee continued to stay in the game as they scored a run in the sixth. They then tied the game up in the eighth on a Zack Jones wild pitch.

In the top of the ninth the Smokies took their first lead of the game on another Young single. Now trailing for the first time all game the Lookouts responded in the bottom of the inning. Infielder Ryan Walker drew a leadoff walk and scored on a double by Travis Harrison. Harrison looked to stretch the play into a triple, but got thrown out at third.

The 10th inning remained uneventful, but the 11th proved to be the downfall for Chattanooga as Victor Caratini singled home the winning run.

Corcino has been making the adjustment to AA lately. He went 1-for-3 with two walks and the hit was a big, two-run home run.

Zach Granite had a single and walked twice at the top of the order. Engelb Vielma and Levi Michael were each 2-for-5.

Travis Harrison was also 2-for-5, hitting his 18th double which drove in the game-tying run in the bottom of the ninth, but was thrown out at third trying to stretch the double into a triple.
