Roy Lee Pritchard, Jr., 75, of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at his family’s home in Alabama.
He was an active member of the Old Pathway Baptist Church. He honorably served in the military for 23 years and retired from the 82nd airborne division. He was also retired from M & M Mars, Cleveland.
He was preceded in death by his wife Wanda Pritchard; sons Ronald, Mark and Ricky Pritchard; and parents, Roy and Janet Pritchard.
He is survived by one daughter, Sue Beckman (Walter) of Enterprise, AL; one son, Roy L. Pritchard (Cindy) of Cleveland; sisters, Jeri Harris, Claudia Dunn, and Debbie Vestal; brothers, Jimmy Pritchard and Bobby Pritchard; grandchildren, Mark Beckman, Christine Richard, Lee Pritchard, Aaron Pritchard and Amanda Northrup; and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted in the Chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home and Crematory on Monday Aug. 1 at noon with the Reverend Harold Cooper officiating. Interment will follow at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with Lee Pritchard, Aaron Pritchard, Dennis Phillips, Mark Beckman, and Bryce Richard serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 31 from 4-6 p.m. at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home and Crematory, who has charge of the arrangements.
