Burch Glen Cross, 63, of Benton, Tennessee, died on Thursday, June 23, 2016.
He was born July 21, 1952.
He was of the Baptist faith and attended Welcome Valley Baptist Church. He was a very loving and caring man. He loved fast Fords, drag racing, farming and helping others. He retired from Bendix in 2004 and was presently employed with JDC Mechanical.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fate and Irene Cross; brothers, Henry Cross, Jack Cross and Taylor Cross; sister, Viola Cross Swann; and several nieces and nephews.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Brenda Cross; daughter, Velvet (Chrissy) Cross; son, Scott Cross; grandson, Hunter Cross; brothers and sisters-in-law, Sam (Janice) of Benton, Bill (Polly) Cross of Cleveland, Roy (Ruth) Cross of Birchwood, David Cross of Benton, Charlie Cross of Benton, Johnny (Tina) Cross of Benton; sister, Betty (Don) Couch of Benton; several nieces and nephews; and many, many special friends.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, June 25, at Welcome Valley Baptist Church with the Reverend Richard Chastain and Reverend Chad Maxwell officiating. Interment will follow in Benton Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers are Terry Thompson, Tracy Rodgers, Michael Moses, Tanner Swann, Blake Cross, Charlie Cross, III and Hunter Stewart.
The family will receive friends from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, June 25, at the church prior to the service.
