Ten Life Care Centers of America skilled nursing and rehab facilities recently received 2016 Bronze National Quality Awards from the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living.

The Bronze Quality Award honors facilities across the nation that have demonstrated their commitment to improving quality of care for seniors and persons with disabilities. It is the first of three tiers of recognition (Bronze, Silver and Gold) by AHCA/NCAL and requires a detailed application process submitted to a board of examiners for review.

Applicants develop an organizational profile with essential performance elements such as vision and mission statements and an assessment of customers’ expectations. They must also demonstrate their ability to implement a performance improvement system.

The 10 Life Care facilities to earn the award are:

•             Berkley Manor Care Center in Denver, Colorado

•             Evergreen House Health Center in East Providence, Rhode Island

•             Green Valley Care Center in New Albany, Indiana

•             Hallmark Nursing Center in Denver, Colorado

•             Life Care Center of Hickory Woods in Antioch, Tennessee

•             Life Care Center of Littleton, Colorado

•             Life Care Center of Stonegate in Parker, Colorado

•             Life Care Center of Waynesville, Missouri

In addition to these Life Care facilities, Garden Plaza at Cleveland, Tennessee, also received the honor. It shares a campus with Life Care Center of Cleveland.

The Bronze National Quality Awards will be presented formally during AHCA/NCAL’s 67th Annual Convention and Exposition, Oct. 16 – 19, in Nashville.

“Our associates have a never-ending quest for performance excellence,” said Beecher Hunter, president of Life Care Centers of America. “We are always looking for ways to improve the services we provide to the men and women entrusted to our care, and we can never be satisfied with each new level we achieve. These National Quality Awards provide assurance to our residents, families and the public at large of our commitment to the mission of care and compassion we have chosen.”
