The Georgia Northwestern Technical College (GNTC) Foundation is helping graduates at 30 Northwest Georgia High Schools to get their collegiate careers off to a good start this coming fall.
Along with the help of GNTC Foundation trustees, as well as the administrators at all public high schools within the college’s nine-county service area, scholarship winners from those high schools are each receiving a $250 award to help supplement some of the expenses of the first year of college. Everything from golf tournaments to college employee donation programs have helped build up the donations for the foundation allowing it to grow into a vital community center.
GNTC Director of Institutional Advancement Jason Gamel, along with foundation trustees and a cast of others, have helped present these scholarships to each of the winners throughout the month of May. “We are so proud to be a part of something so important,” said Mr. Gamel. “Being a part of these young people’s lives is just a real privilege. We are really looking forward to seeing what each of them will become.”

The Georgia Northwestern Technical College Foundation helps fund academic and support programs at the college. From scholarships to program equipment, the Foundation helps raise money for various programs which helps make college a success for thousands of students every year.

GNTC has campuses in Floyd, Gordon, Polk, Walker, and Whitfield Counties in Georgia. A sixth campus, the Catoosa County Campus, is set to open its doors in Ringgold, Georgia in August as classes begin with the Fall 2016 term. GNTC directly serves the residents in Catoosa, Chattooga, Dade, Floyd, Gordon, Murray, Polk, Walker, and Whitfield Counties in Georgia.
