Protecting The Flock

I had an interesting experience last weekend. Being an avid Angry Bird player, I was anxious to see the movie. We traveled over to the Wynsong theater and were greeted by the first responders of our community. Firemen, sheriffs, police officers, Lifeforce all arrived to show that they were there to "protect the flock". The flock are the birds that are being eaten by the pigs...for those not in the know. The message to the community was that we have these resources and they are there to protect us.
The zoo sent rehabilitated animals that can no longer live in the wild. Publix on Hixson sent mounds of fresh fruit for all the movie goers. Children were fingerprinted, got to see the big firetrucks and got to see Turbo, the county police dog. This was a pleasant surprise. The manager said that it was a way to show the community what was there for them.
