Jazzanooga Hosts Tribute To Prince Friday

Jazzanooga will present ICON, a Prince Tribute, on Friday at the Bessie Smith Cultural Center.  Doors open at 7 p.m. 

He was born with the name of Prince Rogers Nelson. He was a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, record producer, actor and a social trailblazer. He was an ICON. 

There will be live performances, karaoke, spoken word and DJ JStar on the 1s and 2s,  There will also be a prize for best Purple Rain/Prince costume and best karaoke singer. 

Tickets are $10 and available here.  All proceeds benefit Jazzanooga's youth music summer programs.
