Mark Hammond
Mark D. Hammond, 47, of Chattanooga, died on Saturday, Feb. 6, 2016 at his residence.
He graduated from Kirkman Technical High School, class of 1986 and received his B.S degree from Bryan College in 2005.
Mark was employed with TVA for 29 years as an IT field analyst. Mark was an active and faithful member of Olivet Baptist Church.
Mark was preceded in death by his father, Lester Hammond.
Mark is survived by his loving mother, Barbara Davis; brother, Edwin (Lori) Hammond; sister, Dewuanna (Warren) Crutcher; uncles, Willie Arnold and Edward (Ann) Davis; aunt, Elsie Brooks; cousin, Desmond (Acquanetta) Smith; all of Chattanooga; five nephews; five great-nieces and nephews; a host of other relatives and close friends.
The funeral service will be on Thursday, Feb. 11, at noon at Olivet Baptist Church. Interment will be at Lakewood Memory Gardens East.
The body will lie in state on Wednesday, Feb. 10, after noon at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
