Applications Now Being Accepted For Citizens' Police Academy

The Chattanooga Police Department’s Office of Community Outreach is currently accepting applications for its Citizens’ Police Academy. This eight week course begins March 17 and gives citizens a glimpse into how the Chattanooga Police Department (CPD) does its job.  Instructors from CPD teach each class, one night a week, covering a variety of topics including narcotics, homicide investigation, patrol, and the SWAT team.  In addition to learning about the department, this is a great chance to meet people from all of the great communities and neighborhoods that make up Chattanooga.
