The Chattanooga Police Department’s Office of Community Outreach is currently accepting applications for its Citizens’ Police Academy. This eight week course begins March 17 and gives citizens a glimpse into how the Chattanooga Police Department (CPD) does its job. Instructors from CPD teach each class, one night a week, covering a variety of topics including narcotics, homicide investigation, patrol, and the SWAT team. In addition to learning about the department, this is a great chance to meet people from all of the great communities and neighborhoods that make up Chattanooga.
If you would like to sign up for the Chattanooga Police Department’s Citizens’ Police Academy, contact Sergeant Wayne Jefferson at 643-5090 or email the Sergeant at: jefferson_wa@chattanooga.gov. Applications must be received no later than March 10.
