Frances Jones Gowan, 90, of LaFayette, Georgia, died on Wednesday, February 3, 2016.
She was born on Aug. 20, 1925 to the late Gus Lloyd Jones and Janie Mae Watson Jones. Frances was a member of the Community Baptist Church on Lee Mason Road.
Frances was preceded in death by her son, Thomas Fricks; one sister; and three brothers.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Grady Wayne (Linda) Fricks of Bridgeport, AL; sisters, Peggy Stone and Doris Brown; grandchildren, Shannon Harwood, Tommy Fricks, Casey Fricks and Jennifer Amy Fricks; ten great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Wallis Memorial Chapel will be Friday, Feb. 5 at 2 p.m. with Rev. W.C. Pence officiating. Interment will follow in the Community Baptist Church, Lee Mason Road.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, Feb. 6 from 1 p.m. until service time.
