Arthur Campbell
Arthur Campbell, 70, died at his home on Friday, Feb. 5, 2016.
Mr. Campbell served on the Chattanooga Hamilton County Planning Commission and as a Hamilton County commissioner. He worked on important projects like the Bessie Smith Cultural Center, The Chattanooga School for the Arts and Sciences (CSAS), and the Tennessee Aquarium. He was also a member of Brainerd United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Gwendolyn Campbell; three children, Erika Campbell-Harris, Nedra (Raymond) Campbell Magee, and Nicholas (Joy) Campbell; four grandchildren, Jordan and Serenity Harris and Justin and Logan Campbell; seven brothers; and several other relatives.
Visitation is at Alfonso Dawson Mortuary, 3000 Martin Luther King Jr. Dr., Atlanta, GA 30331, on Sunday, Feb. 14, with a wake at 6 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, Feb. 15, at 11 a.m., at Ben Hill United Methodist Church, 2099 Fairburn Road, SW, Atlanta, GA 30331. Interment will follow the services at Westview Cemetery.
