He’s only been on the job for a year and a half, but Jeff Sosebee has already made an impression on his co-workers.

So much so that three of them successfully nominated the personal property appraiser for the Whitfield County Tax Assessor’s Office  as the county’s Employee of the Month for December.

Check out some of the comments made on his nomination forms:

“Jeff is a personal property appraiser that always thinks of the taxpayer first. Jeff works hard and strives to make the Assessor’s Office a warm and enjoyable place to work.
No matter the task, Jeff is always willing to help.”

“Jeff has been a wonderful asset to the Personal Property Division. He is very knowledgeable and more than willing to assist the taxpayers as well as co-workers.”

“Jeff works diligently to process his work in a timely manner. He is always mindful of ways to better our office and procedures. He is a quality worker who brings a smile to all of us who work around him. His wit and personality are a great combination in working with the taxpayers of Whitfield County.”

Sosebee has also been active with community events, helping the county raise funds for United Way, for example, including fun activities like No Shave November and Bad Hair Day.

But it’s not all fun and games for the Employee of the Month.

“He also attends classes in the department to advance his education and always goes the extra mile to participate to make our county proud,” one nominator wrote.

Mr. Sosebee has already earned his Appraiser I status with the Department of Revenue and is working toward other credits to advance to the next level.
