Home In Hixson Destroyed By Fire Wednesday Night

A home in Hixson was destroyed by fire late Wednesday night.

At 11:54 p.m., a neighbor called 911 reporting a house fire at 1755 Varner Road.

The Dallas Bay Volunteer Fire Department responded and reported heavy fire throughout the house. Firefighters conducted a defensive attack to contain the fire to the house.

The homeowner, Richard Roberson, was not home at the time of the fire.

No injuries were reported, but Hamilton County EMS was on the scene for any potential injuries to the firefighters.

The cause of the fire is undetermined and will be under investigation by the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office. The house is a loss and was valued at $110,000.
