The chaplains of the Chattanooga Police Department will present "Gathering Hope - A Benefit Concert" on Saturday. They invite all to join them for a night of music, food and fellowship.
The event will be held from 7-9 p.m .at Greater Community Church of Chattanooga, 1817 East Third St.
The night of music will benefit the CPD Chaplain Program Benevolent Fund. Admission is free, but donations are encouraged.
The chaplain program provides a ministry of presence for the department and a ministry of calm for victims. The volunteer chaplain corps supports the community and lightens the burden of police officers by performing various tasks of a spiritual nature. Support helps continue that ministry. It is hosted by the Chattanooga Association of Law Enforcement Chaplains.
