A UTC student and her boyfriend have been arrested at UTC apartments on McCallie Avenue after they were found with marijuana and mushrooms.
Taylor Herd, 19, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and drinking underage.
Joshua Mark Sosna, 26, of 418 Ault Road, Signal Mountain, was charged with felonious possession of mushrooms, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
In the incident early Sunday morning, police responded to a suspicious male at the apartments. Officers found Sosna exiting Ms. Herd's residence. He said he was not a resident or student, but had her access key.
Police said both smelled of burnt marijuana and admitted to smoking marijuana in Ms. Herd's car.
A search of Ms. Herd's room turned up a plastic bag of mushrooms, a bag of marijuana and a metal grinder with marijuana residue.
