Harvest Moon Storyland Maze At Riverpark Is Friday And Saturday

Brings Children And Families Inside Favorite Stories

  • Monday, October 24, 2016

The Harvest Moon Storyland Maze will take place Friday and Saturday from 6-8:30 p.m. at the Tennessee Riverpark.

Building on the tradition of the Hamilton County Fantasy Maze, this year's non-frightening, family-friendly event invites children and families inside some of their favorite storybook scenes.

Designed specifically for children 10 and under (but fun for children of all ages), the maze provides a wonderland of stories sprung to life in dynamic and interactive performances, said officials. Performers include groups from Chattanooga Theatre Centre, the UTC Theatre Company, Chattanooga State Professional Theatre Program, Creative Discovery Museum and more.

In addition to the entertainment offered inside the maze, each child will enjoy a free book, bookmark, and bookplate, as well as treats provided by MARS Chocolate and MoonPie's Chattanooga Bakery. Other on-site activities include live animals from Bagby's Critter Corral, a cow train and inflatable bounce houses.

Costumes are encouraged.

Admission is $3 for ages 10 and under; $5 for ages 11 and up.

The Harvest Moon Storyland Maze is jointly produced by the Hamilton County Department of Parks and Recreation and literacy organization Read 20.
