Shirley Jean Selby, 76, of Tunnel Hill, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at her home.
She was preceded in death by her father, Harry May; and her mother, Viola Price.
She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Tunnel Hill. Shirley was very involved at her church where she helped with the card ministry to shut-ins and the bible track ministry. She loved her family very much and loved to cook for them. She loved flowers and especially loved the holiday season.
She is survived by her loving husband, J.L. Selby; daughters and sons-in-law, Peggy and Tim Ausmus of Chatsworth, Linda and Glenn Starling of Trinity, TX, Connie and Ken Quarles of Pikeville, TN and Carrie Percy of Dalton; sons, David Selby of Dalton and Donald Selby of Villanow; step-mother, Evelyn May of Pittsburg, PA; sisters, Fay Keyes of Nashville, Gloria Kramer, Barbara Travis of Tucson, AZ; brothers, Calvin Price Jr. and Raymond Price of Tucson, AZ, Bill Stiles of Stubbenville, OH and Ronnie May of Pittsburg, PA; grandchildren, Jason (Tonya) Long, Amber (Derek) Harris, Jeremy (Katy) Sane, Collan (Megan) Quarles, Jessica Quarles, Halei Turner, Jackson Percy, Jeff Selby, Cassey Selby, Kevin Cornette, Marie Busby, Amanda and Daniel Adair; 12 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
The funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Selby will be held Monday, Oct. 24 at 6 p.m. at the Rocky Face Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Tony Hyatt and Rev. Tim Sweeney officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Big Lick, TN.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 3-6 p.m.
