Edna Mae “Granny” Lea, 78, of Rossville, died on Thursday, October 20, 2016 in a local hospital.

Edna was born in Soddy Daisy, on May 30, to the late William and Martha Hamby. She had spent the past 34 years in the Rossville.  She was employed with Mar Mode Hosiery for 15 years as a seamstress. Edna enjoyed going to the casinos, bowling, going on cruises, reading books, watching western movies and taking trips with her family. She was a member of Frawley Baptist Church and St. John’s Methodist Church. Edna also volunteered her time at the Chattanooga Community Kitchen for the homeless. Edna was a loving person and will be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Lea, parents, William and Martha Hamby, three brothers, Billy, Wayne and Larry Hamby, sister, Betty Hope, a son, Randy Fisher.

Survivors include her son, Kevin Fisher; two sisters, Patsy Pickens and Ann Batchelor; three brothers; Bobby, Bill and Donny Hamby; two granddaughters, Ashley and Randi Fisher; three step-children and several step-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 24, in the South Crest Chapel with Pastor Ken Wolfe officiating. Interment will follow at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, Oct. 23 from 4-8 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
