Frances Starr North, 84, Chattanooga, died on Monday, August 31, 2015 after a long battle with cancer.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold L. North, Sr. and their son, Kevin Scott North. She was the daughter of the late Luther Johns Starr and Grace Heiskell Starr of Athens, Tn.
She was a graduate of McMinn County High School and attended First Presbyterian Church in Chattanooga.
She is survived by her son, Harold L. North, Jr. (Teresa) and daughter, Amy Starr North of Chattanooga, and two grandsons, Harold L. (Tripp) North, III of Washington, DC. and Grant Gibson (Gib) North of Chattanooga.
She also leaves her sister, Ann Hunt (Don) of Englewood, TN, brother, Don Starr of Chattanooga and brothers- and sisters-in-law, Mary North, Maxine North, Dick North, Ben North (Mildred) all of Rossville, Georgia, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 2, in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Tim Tinsley and Lewis Card, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Tennessee Georgia Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m.–1 p.m. on Wednesday, at Heritage Funeral Home & Crematory, Battlefield Parkway.
