Eddie Weston Hester, 63, of Dalton, Georgia, died on Monday, Aug. 24, 2015 at the local hospital.
Eddie was born December 22, 1951 in Dalton, GA, to the late James Carquitt and L D Muse Hester; and was also preceded in death by his sisters, Olia Bearden, Mae Quarles, Hazel Beltrum, Olia Ruth Shoemaker and Annie Mae Southerland; brothers, Roy Hester, Willis Hester and Walt Hester.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Michelle Hester and Jeff Stacy of Cohutta, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Mildred Rogers of Dalton, GA; sisters, Cullie Owenby of Chatsworth, GA and Shirley Arrambide of Texas; grandchildren, Phillip Weston Taylor, Colton Crider, Christopher Hester and Daniel Hester; brother-in-law, Darrell Shoemaker of Cohutta, GA; and several nieces and nephews.
Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Eddie Weston Hester will be held Friday Aug. 28, at 2 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel. Interment will follow in the Antioch Cemetery with American Legion Post 112 in charge of military honors. Stevie Rogers, Roger Gentry, Terry Rich, Jake Stacy, Jessie Stacy, and Luke Stacy will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-9 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 27.
