GDOL To Help Dixie Group Recruit Workers At Hiring Event This Wednesday

The Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL) will help Dixie Group hire about 30 manufacturing workers for its plant in Chatsworth. The company manufactures floor covering for homes and businesses, and is hiring tufting machine and lift-truck operators, along with creelers.

The recruitment will be held this Wednesday, from 9 a.m. to noon at the GDOL’s Dalton Career Center, 1406 Chattanooga Ave.

Due to U.S.
Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, applicants must be at least 18 years old. They must also have a high school diploma, or a General Education Diploma (GED) and at least six months experience. 
The company will conduct background checks and drug-screening tests on selected applicants.
