1 Person Killed In I-75 Wreck Near Athens, Tn.

One person was killed in a single-vehicle wreck on I-75 northbound near Athens, Tn., early Wednesday afternoon.

The wreck happened around 1:20 p.m. near mile marker 48.

The vehicle was on fire with the driver inside when emergency personnel arrived.

A section of the median grass also caught fire.
