Dalton State Roadrunner coaches have inked nine Dalton area players…five from three-time state Dalton High champions, three from Southeast Whitfield and one from Northwest Whitfield.

"After watching high school games, conducting regular clinics and meeting area coaches I feel confident that we have many of the best players in the area,” said Director of Soccer Kerem Daser. “We’re going to give them the opportunity to help us make it to the conference title.”

Players from Dalton High are Edger Hernandez, defender; Manny Solis, midfield; Javier Rodriguez, midfield; Kiko Rodriguez, defender; and Raymundo Bahena, goalkeeper.

Southeast Whitfield players who will become Roadrunners are forwards Miguel Hernandez and Ramiro Guirrrero along with defender Isael Guitierez.   Northwest Whitfield’s Chrisitian Perez, midfield, will also play for Dalton State.

“Dalton is a hotbed for soccer,” said Coach Daser. “All of our signees are hungry and excited to be a part of the Dalton State soccer program. They are all good friends and ready to play on the same team.”

Dalton State men’s soccer will play their first season ever this fall. Practice should begin the first week in August. “We expect great fan support,” the coach said. Daser added that an announcement of players coming from the Atlanta area should soon be made. International players will be announced later this summer.
