Chattanooga Police Arrest Serial Burglar, Terry Highfield

The Chattanooga Police Department has linked one individual to eight burglaries which occurred beginning on March 5 through last Friday. On Friday, CPD officers were in search of a white Ford Ranger and located it at 7707 Lee Highway (Motel Six). The vehicle was registered to Terry Highfield, 59. 

 

Following the discovery of the vehicle CPD Property Crimes responded to Room 128 and a search warrant was obtained.

CPD officers conducted the search warrant and found several items in the hotel room linking Highfield to eight business burglaries in Sector III.   

 

Terry Highfield was arrested in connection with eight business burglaries:

1.      4/24/15: Alternative Visions Hair, 6227 Lee Hwy.

2.      4/22/15:  Hamilton Hair Saloon, 8115 E. Brainerd Road       

3.      4/19/15: Kid to Kid, 7047 Lee Hwy. 

4.      4/6/15: Maxi Muffler, 6673 Lee Hwy.

5.      3/8/15: Bermuda Triangle, 7550 E. Brainerd Road       

6.      3/8/15: Lazy Boy, 1932 Gunbarrel Roa

7.      3/7/15: Red Wings Shoes, 6231 Perimeter Dr.  

8.      3/5/15: Providence Thrift Store, 6933 Lee Hwy.  

Highfield was charged with eight counts of burglary, and several counts theft and vandalism.
