Pigeon Forge – Travel the world without the airfare through April 20 at Dollywood’s Festival of Nations featuring cultural foods, Irish dancing, Mariachi bands, and the new show Timber! that features feats of strength and agility at Dollywood.

 

Sevier County – A countywide celebration of the season, Smoky Mountain Springfest features special events, local craft shows and more in Sevier County. 

 

April 17-18

Huntingdon – See the classic “Les Misérables,” a story of the survival of the human spirit 7 p.m.

at The Dixie Carter Performing Arts Center.

 

April 17-19

Knoxville – Enjoy the Market Square Art Fair with music, entertainment, culinary demonstrations and more at Market Square, Krutch Park and Union Avenue.

 

April 18

Fayetteville – The Slawburger Festival includes tastings, vendors, a cookoff and more in downtown Fayetteville.

 

Jackson – Celebrate “A Rock-A-Billy Birthday Party” with music and entertainment 7 p.m. at the International Rock-A-Billy Hall of Fame. Tickets are $15.

 

April 19

Nashville – Enjoy the free Family Festival Day filled with art-making, live music and performances 1-5:30 p.m. at the Frist Center for the Visual Arts.

 

April 19-25

Gatlinburg – Earth Week is a combination of family-friendly events created to celebrate green practices in downtown Gatlinburg.

 

April 21

Townsend – Join Dr. Gail Palmer and her discussion “Midwives and Healers: Ahead of Their Time” 2 p.m. at the Great Smoky Mountains Heritage Center.

 

Nashville – Have either lunch or dinner at Bound’ry and a large portion of the meal proceeds will be donated to Nashville CARES, a non-profit that supports Middle Tennesseans affected by AIDS.

 

April 21-25

Gatlinburg – The 65th annual Spring Wildflower Pilgrimage includes more than 150 different programs, hiking tours, motorcades, demonstrations and classroom lectures at the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

 

April 22-25

Reliance – Take a hike, participate in tradition and have a ramp meal during the Polk County Ramp Tramp Festival at McCroy 4-H Camp in Reliance, Tenn.

 

April 23

Nashville – An evening of song and symphony featuring Music City Hit-Makers is scheduled for Songwriters Under The Stars 7:30 p.m. at Cheekwood Botanical Garden and Museum of Art.

 

Maryville – Celebrate William Shakespeare’s Birthday is a day-long festival which includes readings of his sonnets and soliloquies and a viewing of “Twelfth Night” at the Blount County Public Library.

 

April 23-25

Union City – Confederate and Union re-enactors, artillery demonstrations, storytelling, and more Civil War demonstrations will occur during Civil War Days at Discovery Park of America.

 

April 24

Nashville – A special evening of food, film and murder will take place during the Food and Film: House Party Whodunit? featuring “Gosford Park with dinner at 6 p.m. and film at 7 p.m. in the Frist Center Auditorium at the Frist Center for Visual Arts.

 

Nashville – The Zoovie series is back with the first feature “Epic” 6 p.m. at the Nashville Zoo. Tickets are $6 for non-members after 6 p.m. and free for members.

 

April 24-25

Chattanooga – The 14th season of the Chattanooga Market will open with live music, vendors, and more at The First Tennessee Pavilion.

 

April 24-26

Memphis – Tyler Perry’s new stage play Madea on the Run starring Tyler Perry will play at The Orpheum Theatre. Tickets are $42.50-$82.50.

 

Nashville – Welcome spring with A Midsummer Night’s Dream performed by the Nashville Ballet featuring the Nashville Symphony at Tennessee Performing Arts Center’s Andrew Jackson Hall.

 

April 25

Oneida – Traditional arts, crafts, demonstrations, and music are part of the 15th annual Spring Planting and Music Festival at Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area.

 

Jonesborough – Participate in Keep Jonesborough Beautiful as part of Keep America Beautiful’s Great American Cleanup 8 a.m. to noon with check-in at the Food City of Jonesborough.

 

Knoxville – A festival of talented opera singers and performances will take place during the Knoxville Opera Rossini Festival 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Gay Street in downtown Knoxville.

 

Gallatin – See historic sites and private homes on the 63rd annual Sumner Co. Pilgrimage of Homes beginning at Historic Rose Mont. Tickets are $20.

 

Kingsport – A “Day of Service” will be hosted by Friends of Warriors’ Path State Park as volunteers will clean up the area 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Warriors’ Path State Park.

 

April 25-26

South Pittsburg – Cornbread cook-offs, craft vendors, food, music, and historic tours are part of the annual National Cornbread Festival. Tickets are $5.

 

Chapel Hill – Put a bike pedal to the metal during the annual Bicycle Ride Across Tennessee originating from Henry Horton State Park.

 

April 26

Nashville – Students can learn about Industrial Chemistry as part of the “Young Chemist” term 3 p.m. at the Adventure Science Center.

 

Wartrace – Celebrate the railroad and its place in history during Dixie Line Days in downtown Wartrace.
