Chattanooga Zoo Celebrates Hug-a-Bunny Day 2015

  • Tuesday, March 31, 2015

The Chattanooga Zoo will celebrate the arrival of spring and the Easter Holiday on Saturday at the annual Hug-a-Bunny Day.

From 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Zoo visitors will be able to encounter real bunnies, have their picture made with the Easter Bunny, hunt for Easter eggs at different education stations throughout the Zoo, watch the Zoo’s animals hunt for their own eggs, have their faces painted, participate in numerous games, crafts, and activities, and more.

All activities are free with regular Zoo admission, excluding photos with the Easter Bunny.  Photos with the Easter Bunny will be offered for $5 per print, and for an additional $3, guests will have a chance to add a real bunny to their photos.

New this year, the Chattanooga Zoo will have a juvenile lamb for guests to see. Penelope, the lamb, is cared for by owner of Southern Textiles, Kacie Hodges. Kacie and Penelope will be at the Hug-a-Bunny Day event for all guests to meet and greet.

“Hug-a-Bunny day is always such a fun springtime event for Zoo staff and guests,” says Darde Long, Chattanooga Zoo president and CEO. “Every year, this event continues to grow and we are so excited to expand upon our traditional Hug-a-Bunny Day happenings, to offer more activities than ever before.”

For more information on Hug-a-Bunny Day, visit www.chattzoo.org or call the Zoo Gift Shop at 697-1319.
