ElderScholars Meeting Scheduled For March 10

  • Wednesday, February 25, 2015

The March 2015 ElderScholars meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 10 in the Lookout Mountain Room of the University Center.  The speaker for March will be George Davenport. He represents the Signal Mountain Lions Club and their program of providing speakers for area organizations.  George has been our speaker several times, and always does an excellent job. He helped to provide the program for the National Medal of Honor Museum for us, and   in November his subject was The Great Depression (1929-1940).  This month his subject will be the current hot spots in the Middle East.

All eyes and ears have been on that part of the World, as the terrorists and fanatics carry out a reign of terror on beliefs other than their own.

The meeting starts at 1 p.m.  Different from previous years, parking is free only in Lot 7 which is at Douglas and East Fifth Street near the Maclellan Gym, or across East Fifth Street from Lot 7 at the Fifth Street Parking Garage (the high rise parking garage).  As always, if you park in Lot 7, be sure to place this announcement letter on your dashboard indicating that you are attending the ElderScholar Meeting.  If you park in the high rise, when you leave just tell the attendant that you have been attending the ElderScholar Meeting.

If you have any difficulty with ticketing, please call Diane Reed, UTC at 423-425-4303.
