Woman In Critical Condition After Being Shot In The Face Near O'Rear Street Identified As Entwadina Phillips, 20

A woman who is in critical condition after she was shot while driving in Chattanooga on Saturday night has been identified as 20-year-old Entwadina Phillips.

Just after 9 p.m., the Chattanooga Police Department responded to reports of a person shot. Once on the scene, police located a female victim near the 2500 block of O'Rear Street suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound to the face.

The victim was driving a vehicle when the vehicle was struck by gunfire. She lost control of the vehicle and crashed on O'Rear Street. A juvenile was in the vehicle with the victim. The juvenile did not sustain any injuries and was transported to a local hospital for observation only. 

The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of a life-threatening gunshot wound.

No suspect information is available at this time. 

Victim identification will be released once next of kin has been notified of her condition. 

Chattanooga Police ask anyone with information regarding this incident to call 423 698-2525. The investigation is ongoing and more information will be released when available.
