Collier Breaks Ground On Downtown Neighborhood

Collier Construction has broken ground on a new downtown Chattanooga neighborhood of family homes and townhouses. 

Located behind the Southern Saddlery Co. building, the groundbreaking site was recently an empty field left over from the Southside’s industrial era. One Hundred at South Broad will include 29 single-family homes and 20 three-story townhouses—all energy efficient, all built with honest materials, and all designed by the award-winning Cogent Studios for an enduring downtown community.

This new neighborhood is a project by FIELD, the community development arm of Collier Construction.
FIELD combines Collier's longstanding environmental sensitivity with traditional neighborhood design principles to create communities that focus on the family and the individual over the automobile. 


One Hundred at South Broad will be a nucleus of active downtown living, with work, shopping, church, and activities all within a short bike ride. Reserved green space will give residents access to a fire pit and a small community park, along with the Tennessee Riverwalk less than a quarter mile away.
