As rain continues to take its toll on events throughout the Southeast, the UTC Steve Baras Fall Classic was fortunate enough to have access to indoor facilities on Saturday. Although the tournament was cut short following the semifinals, each individual was able to get in one singles match at the Racquet Club of Chattanooga.
On the men's side the Mocs scored wins in three of their six matches, led by junior Lucas Plesky. He defeated Middle Tennessee's Guillermo Artiz Mateo (6-4, 6-1) in the C bracket today. Senior Nick Wingord and junior Derrick Brown also had wins today.
Wingord battled in a tough one against MTSU's Robin Reithmueller (6-4, 7-6 (5)) in the D draw. Brown scored a (7-6 (2), 6-4) win over the Blue Raider's Michael Apple in the E bracket.

The UTC women won five of their seven matches, including three main draw victories. Senior Kayla Jones had one of the best wins of the day, defeating Mississippi’s Tea Jandric (6-1, 1-6, 1-0 (6) in the #1 draw.
Junior Rachele Gazzola and freshman Sydney Patton also advanced in the main draw at #4 and #5, respectively.
A pro set was played in each of the consolation matches. Senior Kelsey Coots and freshman Delaney Edwards had wins in the back draw.
