Annual Autumn Children's Festival Postponed To Oct. 10-11

  • Friday, October 2, 2015

The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Chattanooga 26th Annual Autumn Children's Festival, originally set for Saturday and Sunday at the Riverpark, has been postponed due to rain.  It will now be held Saturday, Oct. 10, from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 11, from 1-5 p.m.  The changes were decided midday on Friday as the Riverpark grounds were unmanageable.

Ronald McDonald House Charities is a nonprofit organization providing a “home away from home” for families of seriously ill or injured children and support programs that improve the health, education and well-being of children.

The festival attracts over 3,000 attendees over two days, who enjoy food, activities, crafts and games for all ages, including: Star Wars characters, princesses, superheroes, inflatables, a petting zoo, face painting, pony rides, carnival games with prizes, a Ronald McDonald meet and greet (Saturday 11 a.m.-1 p.m.), arts and crafts, as well as health, wellness, and educational programs, and more. Activities range from 50 cents to $3.  Admission to the festival and parking are free.

The Autumn Children’s Festival is the longest and largest running children’s festival in the area, and is made possible by partner, the Tennessee Society of CPAs and several local sponsors. The event generates over $60,000 for the Chattanooga Ronald McDonald House Charities each year.
