Lee University will present “Songs that Touch Our Hearts” on Monday, Oct. 19, at 7 p.m. in the Lee Chapel.

Hosted by Dr. Paul and Darlia Conn and directed by Danny Murray, the program will be a sing-along hour of familiar music with the entire congregation joining to sing from the popular "Red Back Hymnal."

Now in its fifth year, this event has become a favorite occasion throughout the community, said officials.

"Christians from all generations and all church backgrounds love the music of the Redback Hymnal," said Dr. Conn.  "This is an evening of joy and inspiration.  I grew up singing these songs, as so many of us did.  It really is music that puts a smile on everyone's face, and who leads this kind of evening as well as Danny Murray?"

Hymnals will be provided for the audience, and the entire crowd will be encouraged to join the volunteer choir as their favorite hymns are sung. Hymnal “enthusiasts” from all over campus, the community, and out-of-town will occupy the stage, according to Mr. Murray, who has directed this annual program each year since the Lee University Chapel was dedicated in 2011.

Admission is free, but tickets are required as seating is limited. To reserve tickets, call 614-8320.
