County Clerk's Office Selected To Test Conversion Of New Title And Registration Scanning System

  • Thursday, October 1, 2015

County Clerk Bill Knowles said Thursday that his office has been selected as one five clerk offices in the state to test the conversion of a new title and registration scanning system.

He said, “I am pleased that Hamilton County continues to be on the cutting edge of technology. The scanning of vehicle registrations directly into the State title and registration data system is beneficial to the 95 Tennessee County Clerk offices. This capability is extremely helpful in the preservation, research, and retrieval of records. The Department of Revenue under the outstanding leadership of Revenue Commissioner Richard Roberts continues to provide valuable assistance to each county clerk office.

"I’m also appreciative to my professional staff who perform so well in facilitating thousands of registration applications from the motoring public each month.”
