Hunter Brock scored his first collegiate goal in the 104th minute to lift the Covenant men's soccer team to a 2-1 victory over Greensboro on Friday afternoon in USA South action at Scotland Yard.

Covenant goes to 4-2-1 overall and 1-0 in conference play. Greensboro, picked to win the USA South in the preseason poll, drops to 2-4 on the season and 0-1 in league play.

After Covenant saw its 1-0 lead evaporate in the final seconds of regulation, the Scots regrouped in the overtime sessions. The first overtime went by scoreless, but Covenant would end the match in the 104th minute. Brock received a pass from Noah Wiersema just inside the 18-yard box and got his shot past Pride keeper Logan Rohde for the game-winner.

Greensboro knotted the match at 1-1 with 13 seconds left on the clock in regulation. Shaun Watt was able to knock home his fifth goal of the year after the ball was defelcted several times inside the 18-yard box.

Covenant had grabbed a 1-0 lead in 58th minute on a score from Hudson Brock, off an assist from Mike Arango. It was Hudson Brock's second goal in as many matches and second on the year.

Covenant keeper Daniel Kubin picks up the win after collecting four saves. Rohde made five saves for the Pride. Greensboro had a slight 14-13 edge in shots. Joel Friesen led the Scots with three shots taken.

Covenant will look to make it two in a row on Saturday when they host Ferrum at 2 p.m. at Scotland Yard. The 2014 USA South Sportsmanship Trophy will be presented to Covenant prior to kickoff.
