Marvin Donald “Don” Holcomb, 67, of Rocky Face, GA, passed away Saturday, August 30, 2014 at his residence.
Don was born January 5, 1947 in Dalton, GA to the late J.D. and Rheba Helton Holcomb; and was also preceded in death by his brothers, Gary Wayne Holcomb and James Derrell Holcomb.
He is survived by his brother, Mike Holcomb of Powder Springs, GA; nieces, Katherine Michelle Holcomb of Powder Springs, GA, Donna Melissa Cromer of Rocky Face, GA and Ashley McMillan of Panama City, FL; sister-in-law, Sue Holcomb of Rocky Face, GA; life long friend, Paul Cross of Ft. Myers, FL; and great-niece and nephew, Amy Holcomb and Cody Cromer.
Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Marvin Donald “Don” Holcomb will be held Tuesday, September 2, at 2 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Ronald Guffey officiating. Interment will follow in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. on Monday, September 1 at the Ponders Funeral Home, who has charge of the arrangements.
