Eunice Basham Hixson, 95, died on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at her home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lola S. Hixson; parents, Fred and Callie Basham; brothers, Gene and Paul; sisters, Dorcas, Dorothy, and Johnnie.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Whitwell and a member of the Order of Eastern Star.
She is survived by her daughter, Myrna (Charles) Brown; granddaughter, Tracey (Tommy) Gann; grandson, Danny Shirley; great-granddaughter, Laura (Keith) Holt; great-grandsons, Levi, Nicholas and Mitchell Shirley; great-great-granddaughter, Hannah Holt.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, Sept. 1, at 1 p.m. CDT in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Jim Diehl, Reverend Kriss McGowan, and Reverend Phillip Layne officiating. Burial will be in Red Hill Cemetery.

Arrangements are by Reed Funeral Home, 11675 Hwy 28, Whitwell.
Family will receive friends on Sunday, Aug. 31, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. CDT.
