Connie Pope, 68, of Trion, Georgia, died on Tuesday, August 26, 2014, at the Redmond Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Pope was born Jan. 4, 1946, in Trion, Ga., daughter of the late Harbin Edwards and Annie Mae Clark. She was a member of the Spring Creek Baptist Church, and prior to her retirement, she was employed with Mount Vernon Mills. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Troy LaDon “Donny” Pope.
Mrs. Pope is survived by her mother, Annie Mae Pope, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Pope will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 28, at the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Chris Holman officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenhills Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Tracy Shaw, Roger Wood, Terry Pope, Louis Clark, Mark Reed, and Dewayne Clark. Honorary pallbearers will be the Ladies Sunday School Class of the Spring Creek Baptist Church.
Mrs. Pope will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 27.
