Lorene Posey
Lorene Hackney Posey, 92, a lifelong resident of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee, died on Wednesday, August 20, 2014.
She was a lifelong member of the Sequoyah Church of God. Lorene retired from Hamilton County Nursing Home after 21 years and she retired from Down Town General Hospital after 21 years.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William John Posey.
Lorene is survived by her son, William Bill Posey of Soddy Daisy; four daughters, Linda Laymon of Soddy-Daisy, Darlene Stinnett of Chattanooga, Elizabeth Judd of Soddy-Daisy and Carolyn Scates of Soddy-Daisy and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 23, at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home with Reverend Larry Lindsey and Reverend Calvin Nunley officiating. Burial will follow in East Soddy Community Cemetery.
Visitation is from 2-9 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 22, and after 10 a.m. on Saturday.
